Dragonwell Delight – Pan roasted by hand, this creates a less earthy & slightly sweeter green

Our Dragonwell Delight is a superior bright and light green tea. This premium tea is pan roasted by hand to create a less earthy sweeter note than other methods.  We love to have a cup of Dragonwell Delight in the late morning to keep us fresh and energised.

Dragonwell, also known in China as Lung Ching or Longjing tea 龙井茶 It’s name comes from an ancient well in the the area which contains particularly dense water. When it rains, the lighter droplets float above the well water and move and twist in a way that is supposed to resemble a Chinese dragon.

This tea is special to the area it’s grown in and it is only certified Dragonwell if it’s grown in the 65m² zone of the National Designated Protected Zone in the Zhejiang province. This mountainous area is cool, humid, rainy, and not too sunny. These conditions are perfect for growing the light, bright tea.

Brewing…

We think the best way to brew loose leaf tea is with an Infuser Mug or an Infuser Teapot like our colourful eteaket teapots or Curated Japanese Tea Sets. Other handy tools include the Perfect Tea Measure Spoon and a Tea Timer.
