Making a Purchase

By accessing or using the eteaket.co.uk or eteaket.com website (the Website), you are agreeing to be bound by the following terms and conditions of this Website (Terms and Conditions). If you do not wish to be bound by the Terms & Conditions, you may not access or use the Website.

Making a purchase couldn’t be easier. Simply browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. When you have finished selecting your purchases, click on the checkout icon (top right corner of the site). You will be asked for a few details that we need to complete the order.

We accept card payments. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you a delivery confirmation email when we have dispatched your order. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

We retain ownership of all products ordered until they have been delivered to you. Ownership of and risk in all products shall pass to you upon delivery.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch products as quickly as possible, usually within three business days of ordering. If an item is out of stock and we are unable to dispatch within five business days of you placing your order, we will advise you by email as soon as possible and offer you a full refund or partial delivery of your order. As you will understand, we accept no responsibility for delays in the postal system.

Please click here for a table showing delivery options and estimated delivery times from despatch.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Pricing and Payment

The prices for any products ordered will be as quoted on the Website from time to time, except in the case of obvious errors. For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is included. The cost of delivery will be separately itemised at the checkout based on the weight of the order, the destination address and the delivery option you choose. We try to ensure that this is current and accurate for the destination but reserve the right to amend if necessary.

While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the pricing and availability information on the Website, there may be occasions when these are not up to date and we reserve the right to change them without notice.

Your responsibilities

You undertake to us that the details you give to us whilst using the Website are correct, in particular, the credit/debit card you are using is your own. If your details change, it is your responsibility to inform us via the Website or by contacting us as set out in the Contact Us section of the Website.

If you use the Website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password details and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that any password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if any password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.

You must not use the Website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the Website or access to it to be impaired in any way. Neither may you cause it to be changed or modified in any way.

We process information about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review the terms of our Privacy Policy to check that you are happy for us to use your information in accordance with its terms. You are responsible for ensuring that all data provided by you to us is accurate.

Customs

When ordering goods from outside the UK, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws of the importing country and for paying all applicable customs duties, taxes and import charges.

Our Refund Policy

We operate a policy of total customer satisfaction. If you are not happy with your goods or if you have simply changed your mind, you are entitled to cancel your order and return the product(s) to us by providing us with notice of cancellation (quoting the order number) by email at any time up to 7 working days after receipt of your order. The items must be returned in saleable condition, in their original wrapping, intact and accompanied by all accessories and documentation which were part of the delivery. Orders for certain products may not be cancelled - these include: (a) products that have been clearly personalised; and (b) products that are perishable and have been opened, including all teas, infusions and food products.

We will refund any monies paid to us in respect of a cancelled order (including delivery charges, which will be apportioned as appropriate where only part of an order is cancelled) within 30 days of receiving your notice of cancellation and having received the returned goods in resalable condition. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods. Refund of postal cost for exceptional circumstances remains at our discretion. If you paid making a bank transfer from abroad or from a business account, all charges for a refund bank transfer will be your responsibility.

This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change or remove (temporarily or permanently) the Website and these Terms and Conditions or any part of them without notice and your continued use of the Website following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. Orders for products will be subject to the current Terms and Conditions posted on the Website. Please review these Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by us.

We reserve the right to refuse access to the Website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.
