Around a year ago, sitting in eteaket HQ with a cup of tea, we created our eteaket brand ambassadors program.
Our vision was to work with people who like us, have a passion for tea and for living life on purpose. Since then we have been lucky to collaborate with some fantastically talented people! Our eteaket brand ambassadors. Coming from different backgrounds, with a whole range of skills and a great taste in tea, we have enjoyed creating connections over a cuppa. The time to pick a new bunch of tea lovers came around recently. We can’t wait to introduce them to you!
To help you get to know Jessica & Sophie better we asked them five questions. Read their answers below and make sure to follow their eteaket journey on Instagram:
Tell us about yourself!
Jessica – @myfoodietales
“I grew up in a seaside town in Suffolk, moving up to Edinburgh for University, where I studied my passion – Costume Design. Currently, I am working as a Makeup Artist, whilst also exploring my interests in food and drink and staying in touch with my creative side through my Instagram ‘blog’. I have fallen in love with Scotland. Taking the opportunity, I regularly get out of the city and explore the rest of the country! I also really enjoy healthy living and especially love keeping up with how to take a good care of my health. I do this by listening to podcasts from health experts and lifestyle gurus.”
Sophie – @sophieemma_yoga
“I am originally from a small town called Westbury just outside Bath, in the south west of a England. I moved to London to complete a BA Hons degree in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. After living in London for 7 years, I then went off on a world traveling adventure, visiting 22 countries before finally settling in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I now teach Yoga as a profession.”
Why do you love tea and why is it important in your lifestyle?
“Tea is always the first thing to be offered if you need a pick my up, cheering up or just a good catch up. It is that safe comfort of holding a warming cup of tea that I absolutely love. Since I have never had a taste for milk, I have always been more interested in exploring beyond just a classic builders tea.” – Jessica
“When I was younger I spent every evening after school at my Nans house (who is literally my best friend), drinking tea. Tea was a massive part of my childhood. It also has a massive impact on my current lifestyle. Being a yoga teacher, I have to be up at the crack to dawn and work late into the evening. Tea literally keeps me going but also helps me to relax in the evenings (alongside a nice bubble bath).” – Sophie
How do you wind down after a long day?
“Making sure that I’m relaxed and de-stressed before I climb into bed is really important to me. I like to wind down by changing into my comfies, dimming the lights (and lighting a candle in winter!) putting my phone out of reach and settling down with a good book and cup of tea- which ever flavour that takes my fancy that day. This little ritual really settles my mind from the trials of the day.” – Jessica
“I have a massive collection of books at my new house, therefore I tend to read and drink a nice Chamomile tea to calm me down after busy days of rushing between studios! Tea also massively helps my health. Alertness, digestion, ability to relax and sleep. (so many things)” – Sophie
If you could only take one thing to a desert island what would it be?
“Now this is seriously hard… I think I would take a journal and pen. It sounds like it would be such a fantastic experience and I would definitely want to document it properly. Plus with all that alone time, it would be great self reflection. If I could not have that it would have to be a good SPF, I love to look after my skin!” – Jessica
“If I could take one thing to a desert island it would be an Aloe Vera plant. It is soooo good for your skin! I religiously use it! If I could, I would also take my yoga mat and probably some ice to make iced tea.” – Sophie
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
“I think it would have to be September by Earth Wind and Fire. Nothing puts me in an instant feel good mood like that song! It also reminds me of being little and dancing around the living room with my dad, who always had music on.” – Jessica
“If I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life it would be ‘Yellow’ by Cold Play. I lost my best friend 2 years ago in July… that was our song and it’s just so beautiful.” – Sophie
