According to folklore, these bright yellow marigolds were a Druid sacred herb. The Druids apparently believed that Marigold water made from the blossoms, then rubbed on the eyelids helped one to see faeries! The Druids also believed sweet tasting meadowsweet could help to promote love, balance and harmony. Spicy, celery-like Lovage (also known as sea parsley) is a plant easily found on the coast of Scotland. It allegedly has many uses and some people believe the infusion may even have the base qualities of an aphrodisiac? Combining these herbs together, especially with heartsease (violets) reportedly a powerful love stimulant, it’s got to be worth a shot! A sprinkling of rose petals, a symbol of love ever since Aphrodite walked through a rose garden and was struck by cupid in ancient Greek mythology, seals this blend with ae fond kiss.
