We’re very proud to have secured this rare small batch of 2021 Spring Harvest tea from Jun Chiyabari Tea Garden in Nepal.

It’s technically categorised as an organic black tea but as it’s so delicately hand-crafted to protect the tender new leaves and to express the seasonality in the taste it’s more akin to a spring white tea.

These exquisite tender leaves were hand harvested on 11 April 2021 at a high elevation of 1850m. Only a small amount of these Spring leaves are crafted by the garden founders, brothers Lochan and Bachan Gyawali, who have succeeded in capturing and encapsulating the freshness, new life & youthfulness of this season.

The leaves, which are very sensitive during their first flush after four months of winter hibernation, are gently handled and carefully crafted to maximize their character and at the same time to lessen causing damage to the leaves.

The taste is very fresh, and delicate with notes of lily of the valley.
