A cheeky little update from Japan… It is brilliant!tearoom

eteaket Japan number two has now been running for 5 days in the Hankyu Department Store, Osaka and it is 10 times busier than Fukuoka. We are making up to 3,000 scones a day to serve with our gorgeous homemade Strawberry jam from the rather delicious Fruity Kitchen, Devonshire clotted cream and of course a pot of our hearty Scottish Breakfast Tea.

The wonderful customers have been nothing but positive about there scones and teas, in fact we sold out of our Edinburgh Blend tea in 2 days! Nothing quite compares to when the store opens at 10am and the customers run through the store to get to eteaket! by 10 past 10 there is a que 3 and a half hours long!

Once again I have an amazing team and the Hankyu Department Store have been truely incredible to me and all the other participants of the British fair. It has been fantastic meeting some of the best Scottish businesses out here including the fabulous team at Walkers Shortbread, the boys at the Highlander Inn (who knew whisky and tea went so well!) and the lovely Hayley from Handmade by Hayley.  All is all there quite a few new eteaket fans in Japan and a few a little closer to home!

ritish food and this event has been an amazing way to open the celebrations for both Japan and local businesses.

I have two days left at the fair then am traveling East to visit some tea plantations then to Tokyo for some amazing tea bars (will be taking a lot of photos!). So will keep you all updated on the fabulous teas and people I discover!
