A Chinese Green Tea Classic

Discover Dragonwell Delight, a beautifully light & refreshing Chinese green tea from Zhejiang Province, renowned for its distinctive hand pan-roasted character.

Also known as Longjing or Lung Ching tea, Dragonwell is one of China's most celebrated green teas. Unlike Japanese green teas, which are typically steamed, Dragonwell leaves are traditionally pan-roasted, creating a smoother, less grassy flavour with a gentle natural sweetness.

Our Dragonwell Delight is carefully roasted by hand, bringing out the delicate character of the leaves for a wonderfully refined cup.

What Does Dragonwell Delight Taste Like?

Expect a bright, smooth green tea with a delicate sweetness & a fresh, clean finish.

The traditional pan-roasting process softens the grassy character often associated with green tea, producing a lighter, more rounded flavour.

It's a lovely choice for anyone who finds some green teas a little too earthy or astringent, or simply enjoys a delicate, refreshing brew.

The Story Behind Dragonwell Tea

Dragonwell, meaning Dragon Well, takes its name from a historic well near Hangzhou in China's Zhejiang Province.

According to local legend, the movement of rainwater mixing with the well's water created swirling patterns resembling a Chinese dragon.

The surrounding region has a long tradition of producing Longjing green tea, prized for its careful cultivation & distinctive pan-roasting technique.

Today, Longjing tea is recognised as a protected geographical product in China, reflecting the importance of its origin & traditional production methods.

Whether you're discovering Chinese green tea for the first time or already appreciate the delicate character of Dragonwell, this is a beautifully refreshing tea worth making time for.
