A Toasty Twist on Japanese Green Tea

Love matcha but fancy something a little different? Meet Powdered Hojicha, a deliciously rich, roasted Japanese green tea powder with a wonderfully nutty character.

Made by finely grinding roasted green tea, Hojicha has a distinctive brown colour & deeply toasted aroma. It's a brilliant choice for anyone who prefers a mellow, roasted flavour over the grassy character of traditional matcha.

What Does Powdered Hojicha Taste Like?

Expect a smooth, nutty tea with warm caramel, cocoa & gently smoky notes.

The roasting process gives Hojicha its rich, comforting flavour, with less of the vegetal character associated with many green teas.

It's delicious on its own, but that lovely toasted flavour really shines when paired with milk.

Perfect for Hojicha Lattes & More

Just like matcha, Powdered Hojicha can be whisked with water or milk to create a smooth, flavourful drink.

Try it as a creamy Hojicha Latte, hot or iced, or add it to smoothies, cakes, biscuits & ice cream for a delicious roasted twist.

Hojicha is generally lower in caffeine than many other green teas, although levels can vary.

Prefer traditional loose leaf tea? We also have Japanese Houji Cha, made for steeping rather than whisking.

Nutty, toasty & seriously moreish. This one's a latte lover's dream!
