Linder: Danger Came Smiling has arrived at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and to celebrate, we were invited to create a bespoke tea blend as part of the Garden’s creative programme. This unique collaboration honours both the striking power of the exhibition and the grounding ritual of tea. Rooted in art, nature and mindfulness, our Rose Ritual blend was specially crafted to complement the themes of the show and offer a sensory connection to the work of artist Linder Sterling.

Linder: When Danger Came Smiling

This is Linder’s first retrospective in Scotland, showcasing five decades of her bold and subversive practice. The exhibition explores her fascination with the natural world, particularly plants, while also challenging traditional views on gender and sexuality. With a signature style of satirical photomontage, Linder fuses pin-up imagery and everyday domestic scenes with unexpected elements, inviting viewers to question how we see identity, the body and the spaces we inhabit. Adapted from the original Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition, Linder: Danger Came Smiling extends from Inverleith House into the surrounding gardens.

Rose Ritual

To mirror the themes in Linder’s work, we created Rose Ritual, a refreshing and expressive blend of rose, ginger, lemongrass, sage and peppermint. The ingredients were chosen for their symbolic and sensory qualities. This caffeine-free infusion invites reflection and balance, echoing the exhibition’s call to see beyond the expected and engage with nature in new ways.
