Mighty Mate…

Our newest functional tea is built on a base of yerba mate, (pronounced “yer-bah mah-tay”), a sacred drink long revered by the Indigenous Guaraní people of South America. Known as the “drink of the gods,” it was traditionally shared in a hollowed-out gourd and passed around in a show of community and connection. For centuries, it’s been used to boost energy, sharpen focus, and even as a natural remedy for digestion and overall well-being.

Beyond a daily ritual, yerba mate played a key role in Indigenous ceremonies and was believed to offer spiritual strength. Warriors drank it for endurance, healers used it in herbal medicines, and traders carried it on long journeys. Today, its legacy lives on, not just in tradition but in its versatility. Whether enjoyed hot, iced, or blended into smoothies it’s growing popularity is down to it’s delicious flavour & gentle caffeination.

Mighty Mate takes this time-honoured brew to the next level, blending rich Brazilian Mate with a burst of tropical flavours. Juicy mango flakes, sweet banana chips, and zesty freeze-dried tangerine-orange pieces create a vibrant, sun-drenched infusion, balanced by delicate blackberry leaves and crisp apple cubes. A sprinkle of marigold blossoms adds a floral touch, making every sip as visually stunning as it is delicious. Mighty Mate Spring Recipes….

Mighty Mate Mai Tai

Gather 

• 1 tsp . Mighty Mate (200ml brewed)
• 60ml Pineapple Juice
• 5ml lime juice
• 7.5ml orgeat syrup
• Pineapple wedge to garnish

Method

• Brew 1 perfect measure tsp. of Mighty
  Mate in 200ml of boiling water for 6
  minutes. (Can be brewed in batches &
  chilled in advance)
• Mix in the pineapple juice, lime juice &
  orgeat ideally in a cocktail shaker but
  directly in the serving glass works!
• Serve over ice, garnish with a pineapple
  wedge.

Mighty Mate Coconut Latte

Gather

• 1 tsp. Mighty Mate
• Coconut Milk (sold in cartons similar to oat milk, not tins)

Method

• Brew 1 perfect measure tsp. of Mighty Mate
  per 250ml of boiling water for 6 minutes.
• Fill 70% of your serving cup.
• Heat the milk on a steam wand, pan or microwave.
• Fill the serving cup to the top & enjoy.

To note – Can be served hot or iced.
Also works well with oat milk & a
squeeze of honey.
