The Champagne of Teas

Meet our Second Flush Darjeeling, a wonderfully distinctive Indian black tea from the foothills of the Himalayas.

Often celebrated as the 'Champagne of Teas', Darjeeling is prized for its delicate complexity & unmistakable character.

Harvested during the second flush, typically in late spring to early summer, this tea develops a richer, fuller-bodied flavour than the lighter first flush.

A rather special brew, if we do say so ourselves!

What Does Second Flush Darjeeling Taste Like?

Expect a smooth, full-bodied black tea with distinctive muscatel notes, gentle fruity sweetness & delicate floral hints.

Muscatel is the signature flavour that makes Second Flush Darjeeling so sought after, reminiscent of ripe muscat grapes.

The result is a beautifully rounded tea with a clean finish & layers of flavour that make every sip worth savouring.

What Makes Second Flush Special?

Darjeeling tea is harvested at different times throughout the growing season, known as flushes.

While first flush teas tend to be lighter, fresher & more floral, second flush teas develop greater depth, body & that much-loved muscatel character.

Traditionally enjoyed as an afternoon tea, ours is delicious at any time of day.

We recommend trying it without milk first to appreciate its distinctive fruity notes, although a little milk is entirely up to you.

Sophisticated? Absolutely. Too good to save for special occasions? Definitely!
