eteaket x Edinburgh International Festival
Edinburgh International Festival is the original festival. The one that started it all, the igniting spark which established Edinburgh as the world’s Festival City. Every August, the International Festival welcomes the world to experience our hand-picked programme of the finest performers in music, theatre, opera and dance. The Festival is lead by Festival Director, virtuoso violinist, Nicola Benedetti.
This year the Festival theme is Rituals That Unite Us, reasserting the need for reconciliation and the value of shared experiences in today’s increasingly disconnected world, our curated programme of live events celebrates the practices, traditions and festivities that bring us together.
eteaket and Edinburgh International Festival have come together this year to create a unique selection of teas celebrating the spirit of Opera, Music, Dance and Theatre so you can pause while your tea is brewing to celebrate a ‘ritual that unites us’ by connecting with yourself and others.

The teas…
These teas have been specifically blended in harmony with the ancient Chinese 5 Elements to empower you to pause, rebalance & thrive in the 3 minutes it takes to brew your tea.
In traditional Chinese philosophy, the Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—represent the fundamental forces of the universe, shaping natural rhythms and human life.
Wood symbolizes growth and renewal, linked to the liver.
Fire represents energy and passion, associated with the heart.
Earth stands for stability and nourishment, connected to the spleen.
Metal signifies clarity and structure, tied to the lungs.
Water embodies adaptability and wisdom, related to the kidneys.
These elements interact in cycles of creation and destruction, guiding us towards harmony and balance in our lives.
