Our Chilli Rooibos needs to be handled with care! The chilli highlights are built on a base of classic Rooibos tea and vivid wild cherries, rosebuds, safflower petals, peony petals and carrot flakes. This tea has serious attitude.
While it makes a delicious warming cup of tea, it also makes a great base for mocktails & cocktails.

Rooibos, Red Bush, Rubosch… this tea has many names but one distinct flavour. It is a naturally un-caffeinated herb only grown in Cederberg, a small, mountainous area in South Africa. It is overtaking decaf brews due to its similarity to ‘real’ tea.

Chilli Cherry Basil Smash
Gather
- 1 tsp. Chilli Rooibos
- 3-4 Ripe Cherries (deseeded)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 10ml simple syrup
- 6- 8 fresh basil leaves plus sprig for garnish.
Method
Brew 1 teaspoon of Chilli Rooibos in 250ml of freshly boiled water. Leave for 6 minutes & strain. Allow to cool. In a cocktail shaker mix the cooled tea with the juice of one lemon, simple syrup, roughly chopped cherries & basil. Shake for 10-15 seconds and double strain over ice. Garnish with a basil sprig and cherry.
