Our Ceremonial Matcha is a premium ceremonial grade Japanese green tea, finely ground into a smooth, vibrant green powder. When whisked, it reveals the fresh aroma of grassy meadows, a gentle astringency, and a lingering jammy sweetness. This refined tea is naturally rich in antioxidants, amino acids, and nutrients, as you consume the entire leaf rather than just the brewed infusion.

Our matcha is sourced directly from small family-run tea farms in the Uji and Nishio regions of Japan, both renowned for producing the highest grades of matcha. Only the youngest, most tender Tencha leaves are hand-picked during the early spring harvest when flavour, colour, and nutrition are at their peak. Each batch is carefully graded by expert tea masters to ensure consistent quality, smoothness, and depth of flavour.

The stalks and veins are removed by hand before the leaves are gently steamed to prevent oxidation. They are then stored in chilled conditions to preserve their vivid colour and delicate aroma. When ready, the leaves are slowly ground using traditional granite stone mills, producing just 30 to 40 grams per hour. This meticulous process creates a silky, fine powder with a naturally vibrant taste and smooth texture.
