The Greek Mountain tea featured in this blend is a high-quality tea using the whole sprout of the Sideritis Scardica plant. Organically grown in the Rhodope mountains of Northern Greece at almost 1,000 m altitude by mountain farmers on co-operative small eco-farms. Traditionally drunk by Greek Shepherds, Sideritis is also commonly known as ironwort, derived from the Greek word for iron, sideros –  As legend has it in ancient times the herb was used to heal wounds caused by iron weapons during battles.
